What Is the Fliyp Score?
Every morning, Fliyp calculates a personalised score from 0 to 100 for you — not for Scorpio in general, not for Life Path 8s as a group, but for you, based on your exact birth data and what the sky is doing right now.
This score represents the overall quality of cosmic support available to you today. Think of it as a composite signal that answers: "How aligned is today's energy with my natural strengths and timing?"
A high score doesn't mean nothing can go wrong. A low score doesn't mean stay in bed. It means: today, these specific energies are amplified — here's how to work with them.
The Five Signal Layers
Your Fliyp Score is built from five distinct layers of cosmic data, each weighted differently based on its astronomical significance:
Layer 1: Planetary Transits (35% weight)
The most immediate influence. Every day, the planets are moving through the zodiac and forming angular relationships (aspects) to the planets in your birth chart.
When transiting Jupiter forms a trine to your natal Moon, your emotional landscape expands. When transiting Saturn squares your natal Sun, authority and structure demand attention. Fliyp tracks all active transit aspects in real time and scores their collective tone.
We assess:
- Current sign placements of all 9 Vedic planets
- Aspects to your natal chart planets
- Whether transiting planets are in their own signs, exaltation, or debilitation
- The speed and direction (direct/retrograde) of each planet
Layer 2: Dasha Period Quality (25% weight)
Your Vedic Dasha is the planetary period you're currently in. A Jupiter Maha Dasha (major period) operates very differently from a Saturn Maha Dasha. Within each major period, there are sub-periods (Antardasha) that add further nuance.
Fliyp assesses the quality of your current Dasha-Antardasha combination — is the ruling planet strong in your chart? Is it friendly to your Ascendant lord? Does it rule benefic or challenging houses?
This layer gives your score its medium-term character — the "season" you're in that spans months to years.
Layer 3: Moon Phase and Nakshatra (20% weight)
The Moon completes a full cycle roughly every 27.3 days, moving through all 27 Nakshatras. Its daily position is the fastest-changing and most immediately felt cosmic influence.
We score:
- The current Moon phase (waxing, full, waning, new)
- The Nakshatra the Moon occupies today
- Whether the Moon is in a compatible position with your natal Moon
- Specific Nakshatra qualities (some are auspicious for action; others for rest, reflection, or ceremony)
Layer 4: Numerology Cycle (12% weight)
Your personal day number is calculated from your birth date and today's date. It cycles on a 9-day rhythm and indicates the numerological flavour of the day for you specifically.
A personal day 1 favours new starts and bold action. A personal day 7 favours introspection and research. A personal day 8 favours financial and strategic decisions. This layer adds a fast-moving rhythm that interacts with the slower planetary signals.
Layer 5: Biorhythm Cycles (8% weight)
Biorhythm theory holds that three internal cycles — physical (23 days), emotional (28 days), and intellectual (33 days) — oscillate from birth. While less ancient than Vedic astrology, the intersection of these cycles with cosmic signals adds a biological dimension to daily intelligence.
We specifically weight this layer lower because it's the least empirically validated — but users consistently find that the combined signal is more accurate than any single layer alone.
How the Score Becomes Intelligence

Fliyp's AI (powered by GPT-4o) synthesises the five layers into:

- Energy language: a plain-English narrative that connects the dots across all five layers
What Makes It Personal
This is the core difference from generic horoscopes.
A generic Virgo horoscope is written for 1/12 of the world's population. The Fliyp Score is generated from your exact birth chart — meaning two people born on the same day in different cities, or at different times on the same day, can have substantially different Fliyp Scores and signals.
Your Ascendant changes every two hours. Your Nakshatra is one of 27. Your current Dasha depends on your birth Nakshatra. The daily signal is yours alone.
How Accuracy Improves Over Time
The Fliyp Score improves as you use it. When you log decisions and their outcomes in the Advisor, Fliyp tracks which signal combinations actually corresponded to positive results for you specifically — and adjusts the weighting of the five layers accordingly.
This adaptive learning means your score after 6 months of use is more accurate than your score on day one. The cosmic signals are universal; the calibration is personal.
